The Challenge

A global story, a tight timeline…

When we were approached to document the life of Lewis Raymond Taylor, from troubled youth to multi-million-pound entrepreneur, the opportunity was huge, but so were the challenges. Lewis was based overseas, key contributors were spread across the UK, and we had less than three months to plan, film, and deliver a broadcast-standard documentary worthy of a Netflix pitch.

Lean crew, bold vision…

Armed with a three-person crew and a clear storyboard, we set out to capture Lewis’s journey in the most authentic way possible. From casting prison staff, teachers, and family members to securing high-profile entrepreneur Richard Farley, every element was carefully planned to deliver maximum impact under tight time constraints.

Storyboarding with precision…

With the clock ticking, our pre-production was everything. We meticulously mapped the narrative arc, ensuring each interview and scene contributed to the larger story of transformation. By keeping the production lean, we stayed agile, maximising limited days for multiple interviews and location shoots without compromising quality.

On-Site Production

Broadcast quality on a budget…

Across long days and packed schedules, our small but dedicated team filmed interviews, b-roll, and storytelling sequences that rivalled big-budget crews. The end result was a polished, emotionally powerful documentary that met Netflix’s stringent broadcast standards and was ready for international distribution.

Once the production wrapped, we handed over the finished documentary to producers, and the outcome was everything we’d hoped for: a Netflix release, global exposure, and red-carpet premieres.
